On February 27, God called founder of Tartu Academy of Theolgoy and Estonia’s oldest Lutheran pastor, Eenok Haamer, into eternity. Despite his advanced age, he never retired, serving as a pastor for over 61 years. Eenok followed in his father’s footsteps, and his three sons continue his ministry.
He was a man of God, steadfast prayer warrior and a spiritual father for so many people. He prayed for a revival in Estonia. Our prayer is that Eenok and his prayers may be the fertile seed for the emergence of a spiritual revival. Please join with us in this prayer.
He loved his country and people with all his heart. His attitude is best summarized by his own words: “The Estonian nation must endure, but this can only happen if we are willing to let our God help us. We must do everything we can to free our people from their sense of inferiority and awaken a sense of responsibility for the spiritual survival of our nation.”
Search me, God, and know my heart;
