REFLECTIONS ON THE GALA DINNER
On the evening of March 31, we hosted at Home of Hope a special fundraising gala dinner to support our pastoral care ministry. We welcomed 31 guests and shared not only a delicious meal but also an overview of our daily work—especially focusing on the ministry of pastoral care.
Our pastoral care givers shared powerful stories from their work, emphasizing what makes this ministry unique: we never walk alone. Unlike many other helping professions, pastoral care givers serve with the confidence that God Himself is present in every encounter. This divine partnership is what enables us to bring comfort and hope, even in the most hopeless situations.
We are deeply grateful to our friends in the U.S., who contributed $8,550 in a matching fund challenge. Estonian business leaders responded generously, donating $11,390—which means the entire match was met, and the evening’s total proceeds reached $19,940.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we now have the funds needed to run our pastoral care ministry for an entire year. While we may not be able to carry out every idea, the majority of our planned activities will move forward.
We are already looking ahead and hope to host our next fundraising dinner in March or April of 2026. Matching intiatives are very welcome.
