Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!
The mission of the Tartu Academy of Theology is to proclaim the Word of God in Estonia, the country which suffered for 50 years under atheistic Soviet occupation and is considered to be one of the most secular countries in the world. There are no easy solutions to caring out our mission. We must take bold steps trusting God. Humanly, these steps may seem crazy and incomprehensible.
We are following signs from God and have made a great leap of faith in order to continue this mission work that my father began based on his father’s legacy. God gave us a miraculous opportunity to establish a unique Christian outreach center Home of Hope in Estonia. And we didn’t just continue this work but boldly expanded our activities and also the ability to reach Estonian people.
You may ask whether Home of Hope is God’s project or just a human effort?
Matthew 7:16-17 Jesus says: “By their fruit you will recognize them. Every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.”
Please watch the video below, read the stories presented on our website tatest.org/story and also pay attention to our achievements. Then you can decide whether we bear good fruit or not.
If you are convinced that our mission work is meaningful, then WE ASK YOU TO HELP US NOW so that many more life changing stories can be made possible for generations to come.
In the spring of 2018, we needed $125,000 within six weeks to start this project and make a down payment for the Home of Hope facility. Thanks to God and trustful donors we were able to raise this money in six weeks. This was a great encouragement and we continued. My parents and grandparents have taught me that by trusting Lord unconditionally, we experience blessing and can truly fulfill the mission given by God.
In December of 2019, Home of Hope was opened. But we had to take out a mortgage to make it happen. The total cost of establishment and building Home of Hope was $2.2 million.
So far we have raised over $1.2 million. $992,157 still needs to be paid and due date of the mortgage is November 15th, 2024.
We truly need your help now in order to continue all the good work we have started. We have one year to go until we have to pay off the mortgage.
Please pray for us and consider making a donation. We are grateful for every prayer and donation.
Praying God’s blessing upon you,
Pastor Siimon Haamer
President of Tartu Academy of Theology
